A little FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for filmmakers joining our Festival.
a. Can you contribute to travel expenses / lodging?
We will really love to host (and maybe pay!) all the filmmakers, but sadly we cannot afford to pay travels or lodgings. So you have to provide them by yourself.
Financial management here in Italy is all about cuts and other cuts, not about optimization… but this is another question.

b. How can i reach Montelanico?
Montelanico is a little city, 50 km far from Roma. Some of you will know, Roma is the capital of Italy.
In the about section you can find the map, reading further you can find informations about where to eat and where to lodge for the night.
A brief explanation follows:
Roma has mainly two airports: Fiumicino and Ciampino.
In both there are a bunch of taxis waiting just out of the arrivals terminal.
From both you can rent a car.
With a car:
First of all you have to enter Grande Raccordo Anulare towards Firenze / Napoli. So:

Autostrada Roma / Napoli: exit at Anagni / Fiuggi Terme and turn immediately left towards Carpineto Romano / Gavignano - Strada Statale 155 R, then follow the suggested directions(in detail: Via Anticolana / Strada Provinciale 17, then Strada Provinciale 17 / Strada Provinciale Anagni Gavignano SP89a, at last Via Carpinetana Est / SS609)

c. I can’t be here that day, how about?
You can send some delegates (people that will act on your behalf; if english is not your main language, please look up for the word “delegate” in a dictionary, we are tired to explain it :) ).
So your delegate will take the prize instead of you during the awards ceremony.
We appreciate people that want to held a little talk, so express yourself. You can write a paper that we (or the delegate) will read after retiring the award (only if you win, obviously!), or you can record a video (also with a mobile phone) that we will screen in that moment, because the audience will be really pleased to see your face smiling. Remember to say your name and the name of your film.
It’s all about you, but please inform us and send all the stuff in time (especially the “award-talk” videos!).
If you find no delegates, you can discuss that particular situation with the staff.
We can give you the list of people (other filmmakers, spokesman, actors or writers…) that are surely coming, so one of them can take the prize instead of you.
It is important to have someone that will physically take the prize, and able to pronounce aloud your little talk, if will be any (in case you send the “award-talk” video, he/she will have only to cheer all over the flashes and posing for photographs and signing autographs and… this kind of stuff :) ).
We will then send you the prize via express courier.

d. What is an award ceremony? What’s the right type of dress? Can I distribute informational material? Can I sell fried chicken? If I win, do I have to talk?!
Just kidding, as always we do, here at AiC! :)
But we want to remark that we appreciate people that try to held a little talk, so express yourself.

You can distribute all the stuff and merchandising you want, and organize side-parties/events, including off-the-beat picnics and soccer matches (filmmakers vs actors: 1-4, script writers vs distributors to be played yet).
It’s all about you, but please inform us (especially if you want to build a stand and sell something) and send all the stuff in time (especially the “award-talk” videos!).

e. Where i can sleep / lodge?
You (or your delegate/s) can sleep and eat wherever they want. You (or your delegate/s) don’t necessarily have to stay in Montelanico for the night, you can also sleep in Roma if you want, but you have to come back and forth on italian freeways that really aren’t that good.
We list here some of the commercial activities near Montelanico, remarking that we are in no way affiliated with no-one in this business yet.
